Every once in awhile, I get the chance to go to Pike Place Market in Seattle. People line up to get these little doughnuts, made right where you can see them being made. You can get them plain, with cinnamon or sugar (my favorite), or with with powdered sugar (not shown - I guess they ran out). They taste great either hot or cold, but I like them fresh from the fryer. Yumm!!!
that's my mom's favorite thing to do at Pike (my biggest pet peeve ever -- there is no apostrophe s) Place Market.
ReplyDeleteI like 'em, too... but my mom, she likes them so much that it is the first thing she does when she goes there. she says, "Melissa, we gotta get the donuts before they close!"
You're right. There is no apostrophe "s." I hear it so much with it, too.
ReplyDeleteI missed the doughnuts the last time I went, because I did not realize the market was about to close. So I was grateful to get some this trip, even though it was cut short, due to a friend locking her keys in the car while it was still running... so, getting donuts was about the only thing we did there.
the donut shop always closes earlier than the actual Market, too...
