Those earbuds (that come with iPods) hurt when they are forcefully yanked out of your ears, especially if it was because a static-ky cat jumped out of your arms.
Fireworks also hurt when they come at you, then explode behind you.
Janitors who tend not to show up to work for three days in a row (especially over the holidays) tend to get fired.
Also ones who hide and play video games on a computer not authorized to them, while they are supposed to be working, tend to be fired as well.
Playing video games at all while the owner is watching, will probably get you fired.
Sleeping on the job, while the manager is watching, might too, but you will be hired back, then they will fire you for playing video games on the computer later. (This really happened to a coworker of mine.)
It is weird to have a janitor get mad at one of your friends for walking across a floor they just vacuumed, asking them if they “would walk on a Picasso?”
The late shift really is not bad. You get paid more, and you get to sleep in all the time.
Going to bed at 1am, is much better than going to bed at 2am or 3. You have more time in the day to get things you want to do done, and you feel more refreshed at work.
iTunes is addictive.
Guitar Hero on Tour (at least for DS Lite) can be switched for lefties!
Some frozen vegetarian pizzas actually have warning signs that say: “Heat before eating.”
Some cell phones have warning signs that say, “Do not heat in microwave.”

Yeah, I am not certain of the whole story, but our trash and everything just sat there for days and over the holiday weekend, it was still there. We were reassured that they would be there this Monday, but then they did not show up!
ReplyDeleteThey had been let go before, not because of that reason, but probably because the one that asked my friend "would she walk on a Picasso?" often had mean remarks to say.
He told my boss that I should be fired because "I was not neat enough!" and I keep things very clean under the circumstances we have. He also said some other mean things that I won't even go into, but when they were fired the first time, I was relieved.
Then we got another janitor. He got fired for playing video games downstairs, when he was supposed to be working. I did not mind, he was a little creepy.
So, they brought the other janitors back. I was stressed at first, because I wanted nothing to do with the mean janitor, but the other guy had always been nice.
For some reason, the mean janitor was not mean to me anymore. So I was okay with it.
Then when our garbage just sat there for days on end... it was confusing. I thought maybe it was because of the snow, but they did not even call to say they weren't coming. At least that is what I understand.
It is too bad though. The nice guy was taking over the business from the mean one. I suppose the mean one might have tried to sabotage the nice one's success.
I guess I will never really know.
